Happy Birthday, Bro!

April 13th, 2007 by dMdC Photography

Just wanted to send out a big happy birthday to the biggest pain in the butt I know.  Also referred to as my brother.  Growing up I was tortured, beaten, my barbie’s dismembered etc., etc.  All you girls with brothers know exactly what I’m talking about.  Anyway, its my OLDER brother’s 40th birthday today and I just wanted to send a big shout out to him (I have to shout now cuz he can’t hear as well anymore in his old age).  Happy birthday, fool!

Marianne & Lyttle

April 13th, 2007 by dMdC Photography

Friday the 13th bad luck? Nahhh!  I got to spend it photographing Marianne & Lyttle’s wedding…..and with the exception of looking like it was going to pour any minute, we all had an amazing time.  I also got to work at one of my favorite places, Bretton Woods in Morris Plains.  As an added bonus for me, it is about five minutes from where I live.  So the commute home can be a killer.

Last June I had the pleasure of covering the annual Mental Health Association’s Evening of Excellence.  Being honored that evening at the beautiful Crystal Plaza, were the model Emme and her husband Phillip Aronson.  They had recently published a book called “Morning Has Broken: A Couple’s Journey Through Depression”.  Well wouldn’t you know it….one of my pics got published in the Spring/Summer supplement of New Jersey Monthly.  Very exciting!!!

Two years ago today, we lost my beloved Grandma.  Although I think about her all the time, I wanted to make sure that she is especially remembered today.  Abuelita, you are still missed!

Baseball is back!!!

April 1st, 2007 by dMdC Photography

The sweetest time of the year has once again arrived….opening day of baseball.  I’ve been a NY Mets fan since I was a wee little tike and the passion has continued ever since.  Last year my heart was broken when the Mets lost game seven of the NLCS to the Cardnials.  I still have the picture in my head of Carlos Beltran watching strike 3 fly by him and end our dreams of heading to the World Series.  Opening day brings the rematch of the two teams with Tommy Glavine taking the hill.  I’m hoping for another killer season like last year with a slightly different ending.  Ya Gotta Believe!
